Sunrise players lead the log, Limpopo High Performance League

MOKOPANE – The Sunrise Primary School’s fierce hockey teams recently kicked off the Limpopo High Performance League in Sekhukhune region on Hoërskool Piet Potgieter’s (HPP) field and obtained a clear lead on the log.

The girls u/13 team reigned victorious against the team from Laerskool Julian Muller from Groblersdal with a 10 – 0 score. Mohau Mokoka a skilled player from Sunrise Primary, nicknamed ‘Small’, netted four of the winning goals and Mosa Madibana was responsible for three goals.

The boys u/13 team won the team from Julian Muller 2 – 1 ensuring them with a comfortable three-point lead.

The team will test their skills in the Potties Derby on 25 August. They only need one more win to book their place in the Regional Finals in September.

They thank the management team of HPP for allowing them their facilities.
