Battle of the soccer stars

MOKOPANE – Lucky Baloyi famous Kiazer Chiefs soccer player and Khanye Matjila, Polokwane City player were among the elite guests that attended the function.

The Chuene tournament kicked off in the beginning of the year and players went head-to-head in numerous matches battling for a place in the finals that will be held this Saturday (18 June) at the Mahwelereng Stadium.

Vuki Mahlabegoane, the owner of Vuki Chuene Tourism, is the main sponsor of this event. Vuki is renowned within the community for his generosity as he is the sponsor of at least 15 teams within Mogalakwena. Vuki said he looks forward to sponsoring this event for years to come and that he strongly believes in ploughing back into the community.

The following schools will represent the circuits on Saturday for a chance to be crowned as the champions:

Hans Masibe Primary School will represent the Mapela Circuit, Johannes Masibe Primary School will represent the Mokopane Circuit and Machikiri Primary School will represent the Mahwelereng circuit.

The winning team will be awarded with a trophy, gold medals and jerseys, the runners-up will walk away with silver medals and jerseys and the team in third place will boast with bronze medals and a full set of jerseys.

Who will walk away with the winning title? Do not miss the action and come and support the teams on Saturday.
