Public encouraged to join soccer branch

MOKOPANE – The three year anniversary celebration of the Orlando Pirates Soccer branch in Mokopane over the weekend was an enormous success enjoyed by more than 500 people including soccer branches from all over the country.

Jim Tjale, chairperson of the Orlando Pirate Soccer branch, said: “Soccer enthusiasts like Mgimi, 5Skippers and Phillip Jwara enjoyed the festivities with us and they said they have never experienced a greater party than this one.”

The new committee was also announced and they are: Jim Tjale (chairperson), Malesela Legodi (vice-president), Mademetja Kekana (secretary), Unity Lesufi (vise-secretary), Ben Mabuso (PR organiser),William Mathatho (treasurer), Humphrey Kgaripane (transport organiser), Merry Makafola (wellness organiser), Lena Mwdlala and Moraka Mashabane (youth representatives).

Tjale said: “We want to encourage the community to join our branch so that we can grow and achieve even more and to give the youth a chance to show their skills on the soccer field.”
