Stay healthy this season – Health MEC

MEC for the Department of Health, Phophi Ramathuba.

The year 2015 ushered opportunities and challenges in, which we endured and overcame.

As the year comes to a close, we call on the public to practise and promote a healthy lifestyle.

As we embark on a festive journey with friends and family, I encourage all to undergo health tests such as eye testing, diabetes testing, blood pressure and HIV/aids and others, as a way of staying healthy and safe all the time.

The excessive consumption of alcohol and other harmful substances should be discouraged since it affects the health of our community.

We encourage all the people of Limpopo to consume a healthy, balanced diet. To all the people of the province who are sexually active, let’s ensure that we apply the ABC during this season, by abstaining, being faithful and condomising.

The festive season can be disastrous sometimes, therefore I would like to thank in advance all health care workers who will be rendering services during the festive season. I wish all the people of Limpopo and the employees of the department a Merry Christmas and prosperous New Year.

Dr Phophi Ramathuba, Department of Health MEC
