MISS Limpopo 2014 first princess, Vutomi Sophia Tshabalala (21) has been nominated as one of the 20 finalists for the prestigious Miss Heritage South Africa title.
A final year Bachelor of Accounting Sciences student from Nkowankowa will compete in the event scheduled for November 1, at Pacofs Theatre in Bloemfontein.
The winner will represent South Africa at the international Miss Heritage 2014 pageant in Johannesburg on December 13. The reigning Miss Heritage, Shequera Grace King from the Bahamas, is expected to crown her successor at the event.
According to the organisers, the Miss Heritage South Africa pageant aims to empower women of all ages with a platform to bring sustainable change and to become charity and culture ambassadors within South Africa and the broader international community. Finalists are expected to take part in a number of fundraising projects and challenges that will help accumulate points for the final judging on November 1.
“To me this is more than just a competition, but an opportunity to embrace my heritage and closely interact with different cultures. I am highly honoured and humbled by this opportunity,” she said.
