LIMPOPO – The new vehicle fleet comprises four Tipper trucks, three Graders, two TLBs and seven bakkies that will be used to accelerate service delivery within the jurisdiction of the local municipality.
Julia Mathebe, EMLM Mayor, said the vehicle fleet was purchased to continue providing effective and efficient services unabated.
“Whatever purposes these vehicles are meant for, it is for that very purpose that they must be used,” Mathebe said.
He assured the community the vehicles would not be used by officials for private use, and vowed to take whatever measures necessary to assure policies are abided by.
“As we take control of the fleet, we give you the undertaking that these vehicles will be put to good use and for the purposes of providing effective and efficient services,” assured Mathebe.
He added as local government, they continue to carry their mandate to enhance service delivery in all wards of their operations for the benefit of the community of the local municipality.
“I am a passionate believer that as a municipality or any government sector, all assets that we have is given to us in trust.
This vehicle fleet is no different,” concluded Mathebe.
