LIMPOPO – The Police are offering a reward of up to R300 000 for any information that can assist the police in the investigation into the death of Col Tlomatsana, said Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo.
This gruesome discovery was made by a passerby who spotted the burnt out Mercedes-Benz compressor parked inside in the bushes near Leporogong village on 3 February 2018.
According to earlier reports the body was burnt beyond recognition, and only through DNA forensic investigations could the body be identified.
Tlomatsana retired at the age of 60 from the South African Police Service on 31 August 2017. He was attached to the National Corporate Communication and Liaison in Pretoria at the time of his retirement.
Anyone with reliable information is requested to contact Captain Richard Boshomane at 0798945501 or Captain Matsobane Chuene at 0824143345.
Any information received that can lead to the arrest and conviction in court of the suspect(s) responsible for the murder will be treated with the strictest confidentiality, Mojapelo concluded.
