LIMPOPO – The MEC for Transport and Community Safety in Limpopo, Makoma Makhurupetje says she is impressed with the preliminary report of arrested drunk drivers in the province over the long weekend.
12 motorists were arrested with seven arrested in the Vhembe District alone and five in the Waterberg district.

“We continue to warn motorists that Limpopo has been declared a no tolerance zone when it comes to those who do not obey the rules of the road. We are warning those that intend on disobeying those rules, that we are in every corner of the province and we will arrest rule breakers,” Moremi-Taueatsoala said.
He urged passengers who are in a vehicle and suspect that the driver may be drunk, to report it to the police immediately. He also called on pedestrians to be vigilant.
