GOOD NEWS STORY FOR THE DAY: Limpopo EMS save baby from pit toilet

POLOKWANE – Limpopo health ems call centre, on Tuesday morning, received a call to respond to an incident where a baby was heard crying inside a pit toilet in Matlala Mangwai village, outside Polokwane.

Department of Health spokesperson Thabiso Teffo says EMS rescue services managed to rescue a new born baby boy.

Emergency search and rescue were deployed to the scene.

“After cleaning and checking the vital signs the baby was found to be in good health. The baby has been transferred to WF Knobel hospital for observation.”

Teffo says police are investigating the incident.
