Man (37) arrested for possession of heroin to the value of R10 000

LIMPOPO – Hawks’ Serious Organised Crime Unit in collaboration with Crime Intelligence, Modimolle K9 Unit and Vehicle Identification Section have on Wednesday, 8 November 2017 arrested a 37-year old man for possession of heroin drugs and possession of suspected  stolen car.

Hawks Spokesperson, Capt Matimba Maluleke says the members received a tip-off about a vehicle that was en-route from Pretoria to Modimolle to deliver drugs, which was immediately followed up.

“The said vehicle was stopped at Kranskop tollgate near Modimolle and searched. Heroine drugs with the estimated street value of R10 000 were found in the suspect’s car and it was discovered that the engine number of the vehicle that the suspect was using was tampered with.”
