Benny’s Care Academy to represent Lim at nationals

Benny's Care players show off their trophy.

LIMPOPO – Benny’s Care Academy will once again, for the third time in a row, represent Limpopo in the national finals of Copa Coca-Cola U/15 after they won the provincial final in Tzaneen last week.

The national final will be played in Bloemfontein from 28 to 30 September at Mangaung. The coach, Moses Muthelo, said the competition was about pride and honour. “This is the third consecutive year that we have made it to the national finals. We are proud of this and want to keep the tradition going. We want to be the first team in Limpopo to win the tournament,” he added.

According to him, the coaching of the boys has brought nothing but joy to his heart.

Muthelo expressed his joy with the school’s performances this year. He added that their preparations were well underway and that the boys are looking forward to this challenge.

He further alerted his team to score more goals if they wish to progress further.

“I can see them gaining more confidence as the days progress,” he added.

The president of Sasfa Limpopo, Hulisani Mabasa, praised Coca Cola for their decision to sponsor school football. “I’m very proud that we have grown young people of real quality,” he said. He added he was convinced that the association would produce international stars in the future.
