Tuesday Life Hacks: 6 things dad can do with duct tape

Duct tape was originally invented by Johnson & Johnson’s Permacel division during WWII for the military. Although it was very useful as a waterproof tape that could be used to keep moisture out of ammunition cases, these days it’s used for so much more.

Since this week we celebrate Fathers, here are some helpful duct tape life hacks.

1. Thirsty? Why not make a duct tape cup? Because of its waterproof capabilities, duct tape is an awesome container.

2. Duct tape has also proven to be a great way to get rid of warts. Just put a square strip on the affected area.

3. Being a dad often means being able to get creative in emergency situations. Now you can make your own duct tape stretcher.

4. Or why not create a temporary cast and sling while you wait at the emergency room?

5. This is a well-known one for dads, when you’ve gone camping and your tent gets ripped. Duct tape it.

6. And for those awkward moments when it’s hard to open a bottle, use duct tape.
