Meet the Business Women’s Associations South Africa (BWASA) executive team

POLOKWANE – Martie Mphelo, BWASA Limpopo Treasurer, Mmabogoshi Msiza, BWASA Limpopo Chairperson, Tanya Coetzer, Deputy-Chairperson, along with branch coordinators Thenjiwe Thoka, Nthipi Modiba, Innocent Mpe,  Itumeleng Modise,  Tsakani Mabunda and Elizabeth Modiba make up this dynamic team. Other members include Grace Sibara, Nkhensani Mushwana, Rose Mageza, Vulani Malumbete and Frida Maphalla.

These ladies hosted a Member Engagement Breakfast last month at the Natural Living Emporium, with the purpose of assisting the branch in matching the members’ needs, interests, goals and aspirations as business and professional women. The branch believes every member wants the full experience that their membership has to offer and on the day, one-on-one conversations with the Chairperson and Executive Committee was just many of the services offered.

Another event hosted by BWASA annually is The Global Mentoring Walk, which assembles established business women and community leaders to pay it forward within their communities by mentoring others as they take part in a fun walk.  The Global Mentoring Walk took place in Cape Town for the first time this month, spearheaded by Vital Voices Alumna Tarisai Mchuchu, former BWA Regional Business Achievers Awards (RBAA) winner.

The BWA invite women to unite and take mentorship to the streets so that young girls and women from disadvantaged backgrounds is granted access to mentorship platforms usually beyond their reach. While walking, mentors and mentees get to talk and discuss various topics of interest.

Each BWASA event draws close to 100 participants.

These ladies hope to make a positive impact on the lives of women in Limpopo.
